Middle School Band Directors

Luke Hall
Director of Bands, Oslo Middle School

Mr. Luke Hall is entering his third year as the band director at Oslo Middle School and his sixth year teaching band.  He is a graduate of Lincoln Park Academy and Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce.  He is also a graduate of the University of North Florida.  Mr. Hall previously served as band director at Sam Gaines Middle in Ft. Pierce and at Clewiston Middle in Clewiston.  He also has taught in Japan and performed professionally on tuba.  Mr. Hall’s bands at Oslo Middle School have received “Straight Superior” ratings for the past two years at the Florida Bandmasters Association District Concert Music Performance Assessment.

      Sean Srigley
Director of Bands Storm Grove Middle School

Mr. Sean Srigley is currently the Director of Bands at Storm Grove Middle School in Vero Beach, Florida.  Mr. Srigley previously taught middle school band at Gifford Middle School in Vero Beach, Oslo Middle School in Vero Beach, and Osceola Middle School in Okeechobee, Florida.  Mr. Srigley is a graduate of Indian River County schools, including Vero Beach High School, Class of 1995!  Mr. Srigley continued his education by earning his Associates in Arts degree from Indian River Community College in 1997, and his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999.

Mr. Srigley, a lifelong resident of Indian River County, resides in Sebastian, Florida, with his wife and two children.

 

 

Ashby Goldstein
Director of Bands, Gifford Middle School

Mr. Ashby Goldstein graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Florida State University School of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Instrumental Music Education.  Mr. Goldstein received his Master’s Degree in Instrumental Conducting from Southern Oregon University.

Prior to his appointment at Gifford Middle School, Mr. Goldstein was the Key West High School Director of Bands.  Under his direction, the Key West High School Band was awarded Grand Champions of the Crown Jewel Marching Band Competition (Emerald Division) and for the first time in over 30 years received the Florida Bandmasters Association’s Otto J. Kraushaar Award.

Mr. Goldstein held the position of Monroe County Music Teacher Leader (2005-2009) and holds professional memberships in the Florida Bandmaster’s Association, the Florida Music Educators Association, and the Music Educators National Conference.  He has been recognized as “Beginning Teacher of the Year” in Monroe County and was a recipient of the Teacher Merit Award for Key West High School.
